The Expedition will be made up of several optional elements providing assistance, each to be savoured à la carte.
We begin with a convoy transit of the Nasses Dreieck the Mittelland Kanal over 392 km and five locks towards Brandenburg, with among others a civilised pause to inspect VW’s futuristic Autostadt.
A stopover in Berlin-Mitte places us right by Friedrichstraße station, Parliament and the Brandenburg Gate, an anchorage with a front-row seat to history. And for a more stately interlude, a stop in Oranienburg combines royal heritage with riverside calm.
Then comes the larger gathering at Ziegeleipark Zehdenick–a former brickworks turned cultural park, where kilns and clay pits now host concerts and exhibitions.
Those who favor tradition will relish a passage through the Alte Finowkanal, the oldest navigable canal in Germany dating back to 1605, concluding at the mighty lifts of Finowfurt.
In Oranienburg, Zehdenick, and Finowfurt we will be hosted by the local Water Tourism Organisation.
For the rest of the year and beyond, the area offers the most beautiful cruising area up to Schwerin, Anklam via Stettin in Poland, Bad Saarow and Potsdam in the south. Winter moorings are widely available.

For just 1000 euro per person for one to 8 people, you can experience a six-night ‘private’ barge experience tailored to your requirements.
The barge Matilda will still operate if only one person is booked.
Deposit
A 30% deposit is payable upon booking, and the 70% balance is due 90 days prior to the commencement date of your barge experience.
